Three levels, three colours
The colour on the cover tells you the level. Ladder books climb from Easy to Hard, a little at a time. Single-level books stay at one level all the way through.
A gentle start. Every number can be found by looking at what's missing from a row, column or box.
A bit more thought. You'll also spot pairs and simple patterns that rule numbers out.
A proper workout. Short chains of reasoning across the grid, but still fair and logical.

Check one step, or follow it all the way. Either way, you're never stuck for good.
- Step 1 Row 3 is only missing a 7, so the 7 goes in the empty square.
- Step 2 In box 5, the 4 can only go in one square: every other square already sees a 4.
- Step 3 Two squares in column 6 can only be 2 or 9, so no other square in that column can be 2 or 9.
